Outlast is a first person game that plays inside of a huge and seemingly empty asylum. You’re a investigative journalist who tries to figure out what had happened there. But thing develop into a nightmare, you never anticipated. Are you strong enough?

Typical customizable WASD controls.
Mouse to look around.
Optional settings for mouse acceleration.
Crosshair can be activated.
Crouching can be toggled on or off.
Sound is not necessarily needed but it can make things a bit easier.
Subtitles can be activated in the options menu.
Sound effects have not been closed captioned.
Subtitles are very small and white text on black background.
Fullscreen or windowed.
Resolution can be changed.
The game sports a very dark playing environment.
Gamma value is adjustable.
XBox-Controller supported.
There are several controller configurations.
Battery status of the camcorder is displayed in grey and only while the cam is in use. Texts are colored in grey, too. Other than that there is no GUI. Nightvision turns the complete screen to a pale green and makes the view very grainy.
There are situations that require quick actions. This is not a shooter, though. It’s a hide and seek Horror game.
